BACK TO WORK (Post Covid 19)

House of Bendy here with a little update as we move through into a new style of working. Soon we will be back and ready to glam, big yay! In the mean time please have a read through our protocols…

So what’s it going to be like?

Virtual Consultations

It’s highly likely that we will need to do a virtual consultation with you in advance to find out as much as possible about the looks and allow us to plan out the working day. Any imagery of the desired styling via mood boards is really helpful to see in advance. Please also consider any sensitivities or allergies you have! We will need you to confirm that you or your household have not had any Covid like symptoms. (We will check in with you regularly about this.)

Please don’t be nervous. We don’t bite... promise! So grab a cuppa and let’s get to know each other better.

Time

Hair styling & Makeup Application will take more time now due to all the extra safety precautions. If time is an issue extra artists may need to be added to the booking. 

Extra time will be needed for disinfecting the space and all our tools & PPE thoroughly in between clients. We will also need regular short breaks to wash our hands.

Work Space

It’s really important that the getting ready space remains clutter free and with great ventilation. This means it may get a little chilly from time to time if windows need to be kept open, so please keep this in mind. Only the artist and recipient will be allowed in the getting ready space to minimise risk of transmission.

PPE

It’s not really possible for you to wear all the gear whilst we do your makeup & hair so we will be rocking some rather sassy PPE for you. 

This includes-

• Mandatory Face Mask

• Mandatory Goggles/ Visor

•  Gloves- available if needed.

• Apron- available if needed.

Kit

We will be fully stocked with sanitiser, disinfectant wipes and all the relevant eco disposable tools. We may ask clients to bring a couple of their own products for us to use on them like mascara or lip products if we deem it necessary. 

If you are not really ‘stocked’ for this, we can provide you with your own ‘touch up kit’ including some fab new products suited to your needs. 

This is a bespoke service so the cost will vary and can be discussed during the consult.

And lastly, we will be keeping a log of each working day detailing clients and interactions, along with times and the cleaning protocols etc, in case we need to refer back to it. If you do fall ill shortly after our time together please do let us know as soon as possible.
